Allgemein wird oft davon ausgegangen, dass das Horrorgenre nach den goldenen Jahren den Bach runtergegangen ist. Unnötige Remakes, uninspirierte Kopien und eine Flut an Low-Budget-Werken bestimmen die letzten Jahrzehnte. Doch gleichzeitig bieten der leichtere Zugang zu Filmequipment und neue Technologien Filmemachern viel bessere Möglichkeiten, ihre Ideen zu verwirklichen. Dadurch sind auch eine Vielzahl an sehr guten Filmen dieses Genres entstanden, welche ich mit dieser Liste sammeln will. Die besten Horrorfilme des 21. Jahrhunderts. Alles subjektiv, natürlich.
